If you are a farmer/rancher/producer or food entrepreneur and are in need of funding, the INWFN Local Lending Program may be able to assist you. Please note that in keeping with our mission to support the growth and development of an environmentally responsible food system, the INWFN seeks to support farmers who use sustainable practices to ensure safe, nutritious food for our communities.
The process begins with your completing the Borrower Information Form which is then reviewed by a small volunteer committee who evaluates the potential for the request to be funded. The INWFN is a non-profit organization and does not itself provide the loans. Upon approval of your request, we will work to identify a suitable lender for you and then put the two of you in contact with one another. The decision to offer a loan is solely at the discretion of the lender. All information will be kept strictly confidential unless otherwise agreed to.
In preparing for your meeting with a lender, it is important to be prepared with your paperwork (i.e. business plan and/or other documents that you can share with the potential investor to help them ascertain the viability of your request).
If a loan is made, the INWFN would like to follow your progress and share your story with others through photos, videos, etc. to inspire them to get involved in helping to grow our regional food system.
NOTE: Borrowers must be an INWFN member in order to participate in this program.
