Seasonal Kitchen: Spice Up Your Cooking
November 15/6:00 pm - 8:30 pm$25 – $30
Designed to highlight spices and seasonings from around the globe – this class will showcase diverse flavors that are both exotic and familiar. We will focus on dishes that can be served as family meals or dressed up as small plates or appetizers. Using spices and seasonal ingredients you can find locally, we will show you how to create simple and delicious meals your friends and family will love. Additionally, you will be able to create spice and seasoning blends to take home with you, along with all the recipes.
Instructor: Alison Rue Cover, BSN, MPH, attributes her interest in other cultures and foods to early travel with her family. She has lived and/or worked in Malawi, Guinea, Egypt, West Bank, France, and India. She loves to cook with flavor profiles that remind her of places she has visited. Alison’s interest in whole food, plant-based meals is inspired by her interest in health and science. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, Alison worked as a local public health epidemiologist, at The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and as an oncology and infusion nurse. Her passion is creating good food.
