Ancient Grains are an awesome powerhouse of nutrition and cool history! Whether you include them into a gluten-free diet or blend them with traditional wheat flours, we are confident that you will find them fun and flavorful to work with. There are tricks to putting ancient grains to work including fermentation and blending with other ingredients.
We will cover the nutritional profiles of these grains, their history, how they are used around the world and learn to cook with them. You will go home feeling confident about adding these nutritionally powerful, environmentally friendly forgotten grains into your cooking repertoire.
In this class, we will make a super quick Ancient Grains Sandwich bread, no kneading required. We will also create a desert. Plan to bring home a loaf of bread as well as something sweet!
