Seasonal Kitchen: Grilled Foods

Summer time is the perfect time to learn and share in grilling techniques! Many times we think of meat based products for grilling but have you thought of the complete meal: sides, deserts, veggies, fruits, etc.? We will learn the proper techniques for a whole muscle meat product, a ground meat product, a side with a seasonal vegetable and a dessert using a seasonal fruit. We’ll be grilling outdoors on both gas and charcoal grills.
Instructor: Dr. Paul Kuber, who created and taught the initial installment of a BBQ Science course for college credit sponsored by Weber grills at The Ohio State University. He has a degree in meat science from Washington State University. This, combined with his love and passion for local foods and balanced meal planning have given him expertise in all facets of food science. He has brought livestock producers and chefs together including complimentary local foods in Ohio to create direct marketing channels through a number of lamb, beef and pork based educational events. He now continues this effort in the PNW.
