Chew on This! Intro to Biodynamics
March 13/5:30 pm - 7:30 pm$12 – $17
Interested in going further with organic farming or gardening? Looking for more holistic approaches? Biodynamics might be right for you!
Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition. First introduced in Europe by Dr. Rudolf Steiner in the early 1900s, biodynamics is now practiced throughout the world by farmers and gardeners alike. In this introductory lecture, you’ll learn more about the origins of biodynamics, its core principles and significance for healing the soil/environment while improving the nutritional value and flavor of our food.
This is for farmers, gardeners, ranchers, homesteaders, landscapers, landscape architects, architects, students, educators, composters, chefs, and anyone interested in a regenerative approach to agriculture.
Presented by Ryan Herring, Mechanical/Plumbing Piping Designer. He is also a Master Composter and Master Gardener, and holds a Permaculture Design Certificate. He is an active member in the regional Biodynamic Group and practices/consults on Biodynamic farming and gardening in the Inland Northwest. He also volunteers on the organizing committee for the annual Inland Northwest Farm and Food Expo.
