Note: This program is a reschedule from January when it was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Due to popular demand, CdA resident historian Robert Singletary is back for an encore presentation of our very first Chew on This event where he explored the history of food and farming in Kootenai County.  This time he’ll be expanding the scope of his talk to include the broader region we call the Inland Northwest.

With the development of timber and mining in the Inland Northwest, farms, ranches, dairies and fruit orchards began to appear throughout the region.  Those rural institutions soon became a major part of the region’s economy.  Robert’s presentation will trace the development of that rural economy in various sections of the Inland Northwest.

Ticket price includes a light, vegetarian-friendly supper. Pre-registration is required so that we can prepare an adequate amount of food. Click here to register
